The Snow Queen is a beloved fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen - one of his longest and most highly acclaimed. The story was first published in 1844, and the Plum Park Press edition includes the charming illustrations by Edna F. Hart from the 1914 edition of Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales, First Series.
Over the years, The Snow Queen has been adapted into many other media: theater, opera, film, television, even video games. The recent animated movie Frozen was loosely based on this story, and individual characters in this story have inspired characters in the works of other authors.
The Snow Queen is bound in dark green cloth, with silver lettering on the spine label. It consists of 140 pages, and has overall dimensions of 75 x 55 mm (2-15/16 x 2-1/8 inches). The edition is limited to 20 copies, priced at $45 plus $7 for postage and handling.
