Karel Capek's R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots) introduced with word "robot" to the world. The play was written in 1920, and produced in Prague the same year. It was quickly translated into English, and produced in London in 1923. PPP's miniature edition celebrates the 100th anniversary of its original publication.
The book is bound in black buckram, and wrapped in a glossy dust-jacket modeled on the original edition. The endpapers carry a photograph from the original Prague production. The book consists of 220 pages, typeset in Galaxy. Overall dimensions are 75 x 59 x 15 mm (3 x 2-5/16 x 9/16 inches).
R.U.R. consists of 20 copies, priced at $45 each, plus $5 for shipping and handling.
