Jules Verne's From the Earth to the Moon is one of the author's best known books. It was first published in 1865, and was soon translated into English. Verne actually attempted some of the calculations required in the novel, and his results are surprisingly accurate considering how little was known of the technology at the time. It is also interesting that he chose southern Florida for his launch site - the west coast rather than the east, but the same latitude as Cape Canaveral.
The Plum Park Press edition of  From the Earth to the Moon is complete and unabridged. It is hard bound in blue cloth printed with an image of the moon on the front cover.
