THE BOOK: Its history and development was written by Cyril Davenport in 1907. The Plum Park Press miniature edition consists of four chapters from the original book, covering early books, paper, printing, and illustrations, This edition is a companion for his English Embroidered Bookbindings and Royal English Bookbindings. The text is copiously illustrated with detailed line drawings.
THE BOOK is bound in animal-free vellum with one of the illustrations from the book printed in sepia on both front and back covers. The endpapers are also vellum, with traditional marbling.
The book consists of 240, and has overall dimensions of 75 x 72 mm (2-15/16 x 2-7/8 inches). It is priced at $50 plus $7 shipping and handling.
