An Introduction to Making Miniature Books

In principle, binding miniature books is much like binding books of "normal" size. However, the small size of miniature books does required some special handling, and some details are necessarily a little different. If you have no experience of bookbinding, this book will guide you through all the processes required to make a book. If you already have experience in conventional bookbinding, this book will explain in detail the slightly different handling that is required for miniature books.
The book covers creating signatures; sewing and gluing-up the signatures; trimming, rounding, and backing the bookblock; making a hard case; and casing-in the bookblock. It includes a glossary of technical terms, and a list of resources for tools, materials, and further information.

The book has an overall size of 7-3/4 x 5-1/4 inches, and consists of 88 pages in a soft binding. The price is $30, and it includes mailing.
