The Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai published a series of woodblock prints called THIRTY-SIX VIEWS OF MOUNT FUJI in 1831. The series actually consisted of 46 prints, because the artist would up doing several versions of a picture in some cases.

This artist's book reproduces all 46 prints in miniature, 100 x 66 mm (4 x 2-5/8 inches), printed on Japanese hosho paper, and bound between two boards in a traditional Japanese accordion-style.
The finished book is enclosed in a wrap-around chitsu for protection. The boards and the chitsu are covered with pale gray and cream brocade, and lined with a color-coordinated "endpaper" of suminigashi (Japanese marbling). The chitsu is fastened with ribbons and a bone clasp. Both book and chitsu carry pasted-on paper labels in the traditional style for this type of book.
The book in its chitsu has overall dimensions of 76 x 62 x 24 mm (3 x 2-3/8 x 31/22 inches). This book will be limited to 10 copies. The price is $125 each, plus $5 for shipping and handling.
