CONSTANTINOPLE PAINTED BY WARWICK GOBLE is a charming collection of 38 watercolor paintings, many of them reproduced in this miniature edition on 2-page spreads.
The pictures are accompanied by text by Alexander von Millingen, describing the history of the city, and describing the city itself in the form of three "walks": beside the Sea of Marmora, beside the Golden Horn, and along the landward walls. The walks are of course illustrated by the paintings.
The book is bound in bright yellow bookcloth, with matching endpapers. A glossy dust-jacket carries one of the paintings - of the flower market in Scutari (above).

CONSTANTINOPLE consists of 260 pages, printed in 7-point Garamond. It has overall dimensions of 75 x 59 x 17 mm (3 x 2-5/8 x 5/8 inches). The edition will be limited to 20 copies, price $50 each plus $5 shipping and handling.
