Plum Park Press
Perhaps the most important feature of THE LAST RIDE is the fact that it is a miniature facsimile of a hand-illuminated edition produced by The Roycrofters in 1900. The miniature edition is based on an original copy owned by Plum Park Press, numbered 643/940, and signed by the publisher (Elbert Hubbard) and the illuminator (Emma Johnson).

The poem consists of ten verses, each on a separate page, and each surrounded by a beautiful colored illustration. The Plum Park Press edition follows the original in almost every detail. It is printed on one side of rag art paper sheets, each folded quarto to produce two double leaves with deckle edges. These sheets are individually sewn to a pair of white tapes. The book is bound in limp brown French goat skin, with white moire silken doublures.
THE LAST RIDE consists of 18 pages, with overall dimensions of approximately 70 x 57 x 6 mm (2-3/4 x 2-1/4 x 1/4 inches), although it is a bit larger because the limp leather cover has Yapp edges.
The Plum Park Press miniature edition of Browning's THE LAST RIDE consisted of 12 copies. The price is $50, plus $5 for shipping and handling.
