Plum Park Press
THE BLUE CARBUNCLE was one of the many short stories written by Arthur Conan Doyle and published in The Strand Magazine. The magazine stories were illustrated by Sydney Paget, and this Plum Park Press edition preserves those fine illustrations.
This volume is a companion to three previous Plum Park Press editions, A Scandal in Bohemia, The Red-headed League, and The Five Orange Pips. Although this book is uniform with those books in its interior format and design, the binding is distinctive: the book is bound in white moire fabric, with a bright blue carbuncle set in a recess in the front cover.
The Blue Carbuncle consists of 120 pages, with overall dimensions of 75 x 55 x 15 mm (2-15/16 x 2-1/8 x 5/8 inches). A second printing is now available, consisting of 20 copies, priced at $45 each, plus $5 for shipping and handling.
