Plum Park Press
BALLOONS AND AIRSHIPS is a companion book to a previous Plum Park Press edition, Ferdinand von Zeppelin and the  Creation of Airships. While the Zeppelin book covered the period after 1900, Balloons covers the earlier period, from the first balloon (the Montgolfier's hot-air balloon of 1782) up to 1905. The author, Gertrude Bacon, was herself a keep balloonist/aeronaut.

The book consists of 200 pages of text, including many illustrations.
Balloons and Airships has overall dimensions of 76 x 72 x 18 mm (3 x 2-13/16 x 11/16 inches). The edition consists of 20 copies, priced at $50 each, plus $5 for shipping and handling.
The cover cloth is printed with an illustration of the great Nassau balloon of 1836 on the front, and a photograph of Alberto Santos-Dumont's first airship of 1898 on the back.
