H. G. Wells' book THE STOLEN BACILLUS and Other Medical Marvels contains six short stories originally published in 1897, all with a medical theme as the title suggests. This book has the same format and style as two other Wells books published by Plum Park Press: The Time Machine and The Invisible Man.
The book actually contains the following stories:
  • The Stolen Bacillus
  • The New Accelerator
  • The Truth About Pycraft
  • Under the Knife
  • A Slip Under the Microscope
  • The Plattner Story
The book consists of 200 pages, and has overall dimensions of 65 x 65 x 20 mm (2-1/2 x 2-1/2 x 3/4 inches). The Plum Park Press miniature edition of Einstein's THE STOLEN BACILLUS consisted of 20 copies, priced at $40 each plus $5 shipping and handling.
This volume is bound in brown buckram, and features a dust jacket in the same brown, with a modern design suggesting a test tube with the bacillus of the title story. The "bacillus" design carries through on the endpapers and title page, continues the colorful style of the other two books in the series.
